1. Fast, efficient and hassle-free service for Alinta

Alinta is a trusted energy retailer that has built a strong reputation on innovative energy solutions, competitive pricing, a strong commitment to the environment and providing excellent customer service to Western Australian residents and businesses.

With such an extensive customer base, it is essential for Alinta to communicate effectively with customers, particularly online. "Wordplay Media was recommended to us by Market United when we started a new website design project,"  said Brand Manager Jo Rowlands.

"We had very tight timelines and members of the Wordplay team came in to meet us the morning after I called them.
By the following day, we had our first batch of copy."

According to Jo, the old Alinta website was cumbersome and full of out-of-date information, so Wordplay were set the task of writing succinct, customer friendly copy in Plain English.

"We really value the fact that Wordplay can take complex and technical concepts and turn them into simple English. Plus, their accessibility, professionalism and ability to meet deadlines always exceed expectations.

"Since the web project, we've used Wordplay for other copywriting projects including a radio advertisement and our quarterly newsletter Advantages.

"Wordplay's spot-on copy has made my job so much easier," added Jo. "The team at Wordplay deliver fast, efficient and hassle-free solutions and I'm always happy to recommend them to my colleagues."

3. Digging Up the Scoop for National Hire

Australia's mining and construction boom has increased demand for a wide variety of equipment, advice and project planning across all states and territories - which has been great news for National Hire's network, which includes Cat Rental stores and Allight.

From urban centres in busy industrial hubs to remote desert regions, there are more than 70 National Hire branches around Australia. National Hire customers vary as much as the landscape and include members of the civil construction, mining, light and heavy industries.

Faced with the issue of how to communicate relevant news and events to staff and customers, the National Hire team decided to consult Wordplay Media.

The resulting National Highlight is a quarterly newsletter packed with new branch announcements, major projects and other interesting updates from the network. The Wordplay team creates two versions - one for internal use and the other for external promotion.

"The team at Wordplay has really streamlined the process of creating National Highlight," said National Hire's Rental Assets Manager Graham Turner. "We provide the key contact names and numbers - and Wordplay do the rest. They arrange interviews with our staff and key stakeholders, write up the articles and even source images for our designer."

"We also enlist Wordplay for ad hoc projects such as writing advertisements, press releases and editing reports. We've been extremely happy with the quality of writing produced - as well as their ability and willingness to meet short deadlines."
