Planting 10,000 trees is their aim

WORLDWIDE Online Printing in Morley and Malaga celebrated Planet Ark's National Tree Day by planting 10,000 native trees.

Staff planted the first 500 trees on Tree Day, July 27, at Mason's Landing in the Canning River Regional Park.

Worldwide's Corporate office staff planted more trees on Fleming Avenue in Cannington.

The Worldwide Forest will receive one new tree whenever a customer of any of the group's 90 retail centres places a print order on Worldwide Green paper. Each customer will receive a certificate for going green. ' Worldwide Green is one of the few papers made entirely from post-consumer waste.

Worldwide Online Printing CEO, Mark Manderson said National Tree Day was very significant.

"It makes a huge contribution to reminding us how important it is to think about the environment, and this year we're delighted to throw our weight behind the project by encouraging our 15,000 business customers to think green."

Worldwide estimates one tonne of their recycled paper or cardboard saves, 17 trees, 1700 litres of oil, 4000 kilowatts of electricity, 4 cubic metres of landfill space and 31,780 litres of water.
