Worldwide Success for Young Sports Achiever
South Australia's bright young people were recognised on 21 March at the South Australian
Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards. One sportsperson in particular received ‘worldwide'
recognition.
The Worldwide Online Printing Sports Award, one of nine Young Achiever Awards, was
awarded to Hannah Davis, 23, of Glenelg for her achievements in canoeing/kayaking.
This is the first year Worldwide Online Printing in South Australia has sponsored the annual
sports award, which recognises, encourages and promotes the positive achievements of young
South Australian sports people aged 14 to 27.
Whether its competing, coaching, administration or education, the Worldwide Online Printing
Sports Award seeks to applaud their talents and recognise their commitment in the pursuit of
excellence.
Last year's South Australian Sports Award winner, Ben Wilden, recently represented Australia in trampolining at the Beijing Olympics.
The Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards presentation took place on Saturday 21 March at the
Hilton Adelaide. Nine outstanding young South Australians were recognised on the night with
awards for Community Service, Arts, Environment, Science and Technology, Indigenous
Achievers, Career Achievement and Leadership.
Jan Ruzzier of Worldwide Online Printing presented the award to Hannah, and spoke about the
young sportswoman's commitment to her sport and passion.
Prizes for this year's Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards included a trophy and $1000 from
HomeStart Finance for each category winner.
The overall winner, Khadija Gbla, 20, of Findon, received an additional $1000 from HomeStart
Finance, a trophy, and a holiday for two flying Virgin Blue and accommodation provided by
Hilton Hotels.

community,†said Jon Bull, owner of Worldwide Online Printing Norwood.
Chris Donovan, fellow sponsor and owner of Worldwide Online Printing in Flinders Street in the
Adelaide CBD, added that Worldwide is looking forward to sponsoring this prestigious award
