Large format artwork doesn’t usually need to be 300 DPI at full size. Depending on the viewing distance, 100-150 DPI is often sufficient while keeping file sizes manageable. If you’re unsure, our team can check your artwork before printing.

Yes. Canva is suitable for many banner designs, but it’s important to use high-resolution images and understand its size limitations. For larger or more complex projects, professional design software may produce better results.

If you’re creating artwork in Canva, you may find our article Designing for print in Canva helpful for general print setup tips.

PDF is generally the preferred format for print-ready artwork. If your design includes logos or illustrations, vector formats such as AI, EPS or SVG help ensure the sharpest possible result. A quick checklist:

  • Are my logos supplied as vector artwork?
  • Are my images high enough resolution?
  • Have I designed for the expected viewing distance?
  • Have I allowed for bleed and safe zones?
  • Have I checked the finished size?

Yes. Most banners, signs and displays require bleed to allow for trimming and finishing. We also recommend keeping important text and logos away from the edges using a safe zone.

Absolutely. If you’re unsure whether your file is ready, send it through before placing your order. We’ll check the artwork and let you know if anything needs adjusting. Alternatively, our graphic design team can help you create your artwork from scratch.
